Who can apply for the program?
All Pakistani citizens can apply, including people from Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK.
- For e-bikes: Age must be between 18 and 65 years.
- For e-rickshaws/loaders: Age must be between 21 and 65 years.
Fleet operators can also apply under set rules.
Can females apply?
Yes. 25% of the e-bike quota is reserved for women.
Which types of electric vehicles are available under this program?
The program offers:
- Electric bikes and scooters
- Electric rickshaws and loaders
Only approved models by the Engineering Development Board (EDB) are included.
How can I apply?
Apply only through the official online portal. The whole process is online and simple.
Can I apply without using the web portal?
No. Only the online portal is accepted.
Can I apply for more than one vehicle?
No. One person can only apply for one vehicle. Fleet operators may apply for more as per rules.
Do I need a driving license to apply?
No. But you must have a valid license to drive the vehicle.
Can I change my vehicle selection after applying?
No. Once submitted, you cannot change the vehicle choice.
Can I still apply if I already got an EV vehicle through any government scheme?
No. You cannot apply again because it will be a duplicate benefit.
How will my vehicle be delivered?
The company (manufacturer) will deliver it. Your bank and portal will confirm the delivery address.
What if I already applied in another EV scheme with any province?
You can apply, but you may not get double benefits. The Steering Committee will decide.
How will I pay for the vehicle?
You will pay in easy monthly installments (EMIs), including the main price and insurance. The government pays the interest, so markup is 0%.
How can I track my application and delivery?
Check status on the online portal.
How will I know if my application is approved?
You will be informed by SMS, email, or on the portal.
Can I cancel or withdraw my application?
There is no clear cancel option. The bank will decide.
What is the cost of the vehicle to me?
You will get subsidy:
- Rs. 50,000 for e-bikes
- Rs. 200,000 for rickshaws/loaders
The rest is paid in installments at 0% markup.
Can I buy a model with higher pricing than Rs. 250,000?
Yes. You must pay the extra amount upfront.
Do I need to pay anything upfront?
Yes.
- If price ≤ Rs. 250,000: Pay first installment, first-year insurance, and bank charges.
- If price > Rs. 250,000: Pay price difference + above charges.
Are there any processing charges?
No loan fee and no early settlement charges. But you must pay:
- Bank documentation charges
- First-year insurance
What happens if I miss an installment?
You will pay a penalty. The bank can also take back the vehicle.
What is the loan repayment period?
- 2 years for e-bikes
- 3 years for rickshaws/loaders
Can I choose the vehicle brand or model?
Yes, but only from approved models on the portal.
What documents are required to apply?
- CNIC
- Recent photo
- Proof of income or bank account
- Extra documents (if bank asks)
Is the scheme available in rural areas as well?
Yes. It is for all areas of Pakistan.
Can government employees apply?
Yes, they can apply.
Are students eligible to apply?
Yes, if they meet age and bank requirements.
Will maintenance or after-sales service be provided?
Yes. Companies must provide service and spare parts.
What if the vehicle has technical issues after delivery?
The vehicle has a warranty. Report issues to the company.
Can someone else drive the vehicle if I am the registered applicant?

What happens if I want to sell the vehicle before completing payments?
You cannot sell it before finishing payments.
